Privacy notice
This notice explains how Atlas Verum Limited (“Atlas Verum”, “we”, “our”) handles personal information in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We are the data controller for the information we hold about visitors to this site and prospective and current clients.
1. Who we are
Atlas Verum Limited is a private company limited by shares, registered in England & Wales under company number 17203202. Our registered office is at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.

2. What we collect
- Contact data you give us through the enquiry form or by email: name, organisation, email address, the practice area you have selected, and the content of your message.
- Engagement data required to perform our contractual and statutory obligations during a paid engagement, including correspondence, working papers, and documents you provide.
- Technical data automatically collected by our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security and reliability purposes only. We do not run any third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
3. Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry (lawful basis: legitimate interests and, where you have initiated contact, steps prior to entering a contract).
- To perform a contracted engagement (lawful basis: performance of a contract).
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 and the ICAEW/ACCA codes of ethics (lawful basis: legal obligation).
- To protect this site from abuse (lawful basis: legitimate interests in security).
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only where strictly necessary:
- Form delivery: the enquiry form is delivered through Formspree, our form-processing provider. Your submission is transmitted through their infrastructure to our inbox.
- Email: incoming and outgoing email is processed by our mailbox provider on the atlasverum.co.uk domain.
- Professional advisers bound by their own confidentiality obligations, where required to deliver an engagement.
- Regulators and law enforcement where we are legally obliged to disclose information.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to two years from last contact, then deleted. Engagement records are kept for a minimum of six years from the end of the engagement, in line with HMRC and Companies Act retention requirements, and longer where ongoing regulatory obligations apply.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any of these rights, email dk@atlasverum.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
7. Cookies
This site does not set tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; Google’s privacy notice covers that processing.
8. Changes
We will publish a revised notice on this page if our practices change. The “last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision.
